“The Miracle of Preaching”
Part Two
The king of Judah, Zedikiah brought the prophet Jeremiah into his house and asked him this question: “ is there any word from the Lord?” (Jeremiah 37:17)

Jeremiah (the prophet, the preacher, the prophesier) said … there is …. And he preached it … he prophesied.

Today; the question is presented … “is there any word from the Lord?
Let me ask a question today… preachers; ”is there any word from the Lord?”
Do we preachers have a word from the Lord?

For a lost, hurting, confused world; is there any word from the Lord?

Another of the OT prophets said it this way … “I am a watchman on the wall… Set upon the tower …. I will watch and listen to see what God will say to me”

In other words, “When I hear from God, I’ll let you know.

And the Lord spoke to him…. (preacher) “write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it” (make it plain)

God has ordained that His Word be made manifest through preaching.
(Paul states this in Titus 1:3)

Ladies and Gentlemen: the task of preaching, prophesying in these last days is to declare the Word of God with such clarity, anointing, passion, power, and love that those who hear will gain faith.

Preach so that the hearers ……
• will-experience the power of God’s anointing that breaks the yokes of bondage
• will -discover the awesomeness of His goodness which leads men to repentance
• will – realize His ability to deliver and save

By the way…preaching for any other reason needs to be “canned”.

This generation and any future generation must not be doomed because there is a “prophetic laryngitis”; that prohibits us from preaching or mutes our word of faith- the rhema word that God has inspired and caused to be conceived in our spiritual womb.

The souls of men, women, boys and girls are doomed without preaching!

The blood of the hungry spirits of men and women are upon us … if we do not prophesy!
It is our duty to make it plain! Paul said, “woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”
I Cor. 9:16

It is our watchman on the wall responsibility to set the trumpet to our mouths and declare the true Word of God!

You and I must be true to the call of God upon our lives to prophesy! To preach!

We may be living in the darkest hour of moral descent,
we may be living in the worst hours of apostasy and backsliding,
we are living in the last days,
we are living in a society in which many men love themselves more than they love God,
yet we must prophesy!

We must prophesy with faith ….. in such a way that pleases God that He would add His supernatural power in miracles, signs and wonders.

You and I may not be able to define or even pronounce homiletics, hermeneutics, apologetics, preacheology, etc… but what we can do is speak a Word of Faith!

We can prophesy a “rhema” – Word from God … we can speak the truth in love.

This world that Jesus died for does not deserve another sermon from one of us that is without the God-breathed anointing upon it.

People won’t cry out for God’s salvation because we preach soft sermons, that are designed to either make us look good or make them feel good.

Lives will not be transformed because we have duplicated a sermon we heard or viewed someone else preach.

Preacher …. with the call of God upon your life … He will direct you to places and situations in which you will be required to prophesy to particular needs.

What you and I need is to trust God and believe that He will equip us, empower us, accelerate us with dunamis power of the Holy Ghost, quicken us with His Spirit, and enable us to speak a Word of Faith for a moment of need (Romans 10:8)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:13-14,17
