“Quiet Time Needs To Be Over – Part 1”

“And again He (Jesus) entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that He (Jesus) was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and He preached the word unto them. Mark 2:1-2

It was noised that He (Jesus) was in the house.
Somebody got the word out… Jesus is in the house.
Somebody told somebody… Jesus is in the house.
Then that somebody told somebody… Jesus is in the house.

When the folks found out that Jesus was in the house… they came.

There are so many methods/strategies of evangelism:
social and caring ministries, big event, satellite campuses, community events, relationship building, new groups, small groups, interest groups, life groups, support groups, group groups….. and more. However, we submit that there is one method/strategy that is best of all… “Jesus in the house!”

“And it was noised that Jesus was in the house”. I am truly an advocate that what the church of the Living God needs most is the Living God in the church! The church must not be reduced to a ritualistic, routine, rigid religion that is without the demonstration and manifestation of the Spirit of God. The church must be full of the Holy Spirit… Jesus in the house! We must not be muted, subdued, hushed, noiseless, voiceless, silent… not even quiet. Quiet time needs to be over!

We will continue this thought with “five sounds” or “sources of noise” that must be heard from the true church. All of these “sounds” must be expressed and experienced through love.
